BSA525 Issue Twelve: Finally, the Face of my Work

 Date: 05/05/2021

So for today class my tutor went through the class and gave us feedback on our previous assessments. For my assessment Proposal I got an A+, which was a massive change to my last years work that barely scrapped a C, so I can see that I have improved in my proposing of ideas as well as having a more solid and thought about idea. For the feedback I got the only comment I was given was to expand and delve into my genre more, and that I could look into horror/thriller movies for more references on the "Zombies" in my story.

Afterwards I decided to work on deciding how my character actually looks, finally. I decided to have refence from Eivor from the recent Assassins Creed Valhalla, and some of the characters from there to give my character a more accurate design.

The primary aspects I was inspired by us the classic Viking braid, which I love the concept idea from. After some more drawing and using my reference I was quite pleased with the final outcome of it.

The most notable traits is the small tattoo under his eye and his scars from his first battle with the Draugr, and his more mousey-blonde hair is more notable, although I made him brunette in the final version to steer away from the reference image.

The more common eye colors in Norway and Sweden are blue and green, so I wanted to go for a more out of the norm color so I thought a golden-hazel would stand out more, especially in the world where the game takes place which has a great influence in Nordic/Viking culture.

Overall I am happy with the outcome now time to work on my storyboards, or continue to anyways.
