The Birth of HearthBound
Today I came into campus and did a bit of work on my storyboard. Thus far I have 5 Slides which I will be adding on later next week, aswell as a cover image and a name for my Game Cutscene(s). I Decided to call it Hearth Bound as I was thinking on how to make Aegis's story more interesting and thought of have him be a roman Demigod. I began researching on the most well known demigods and there was one Roman Goddess, Vesta, or Hestia in Greek, who has supposedly no Godly or Mortal children. I thought this would be a cool Idea as I could make him the First and Last Child of vesta, and it also gives me plenty of Leeway on how I can make his powers Develop in other sources. Vesta/Hestia is the Goddess of the Hearth and Keeps the fires lit on Olympus. It also signifies family and it would be cool to have a character who has lost his only family to discover he has a godly parent. My story also developed as I began the treatment, only doing a few scenes but I love the narration for it. I did some testing with some voices and when said aloud, it sounds super intense and immerses you into the scene. To Quote it..
- Narration
I once had a family, but foolish choices took them away from me. I was raised as a slave and then a gladiator where I yearned to be free of this wretched life. My name is Aegis, and I do not fight for glory or petty coin, I fight for my freedom and a way to end this pointless war.

I have a Draft of the Treatment that I will need to go over with my tutor but so far I am pleased with it.
[Shot 001]
Narration begins as a golden helmet appears on a pedestal. Halfway through the speech the helmet is placed upon the head of a warrior, where the camera follows him walking out of a stone corridor where a white light will appear.
[Shot 002]
As the light fades you can see a small group of people standing on a cliffs edge on a desert like terrain. The camera zooms in as you follow the man in the golden hemet make his way to the front and speak to what it seems like his leader.
Aegis: “Well Hello General Marcus”
Marcus: “Very funny Aegis, hate this idiotic Title”
Aegis: "All to make those lazy nobles feel safer”
Marcus: *Gunts*
[Shot 003]
Camera pans over a battlefield full of soldiers marching, before spinning to get a front shot of the group.
Aegis: “Malaka, there are a lot of them”
Marcus: “All the more fun”
Aegis: “Ready”
Marcus: *Nods* “Imítheos Contubernium, Charge”
The group charges down the hill into the Army of Soldiers yelling.
[Shot 004]
You see the group from a top view running down the hill before they split off and ram into the army. The camera follows Aegis as fire combusts at his feet and he flies into the air before landing in a group of soldiers making a crater.
[Game Insertion P1] Basic Controls
[Shot 005]
Camera has an over the shoulder shot from Aegis point of View. Aegis looks towards a warrior wearing different armor compared to the soldiers and stands a head Taller than the rest. The man points his Large sword at Aegis and then Laughs.
[Game Insertion P2] Anavo(Ignite)
[Shot 006]
The Man lunges at Aegis with a large sword and misses as Aegis rolls out of the way.
[Shot 007]
Aegis runs forward with his sword and aims for the man's throat
[Shot 008]
Before it is swatted away by the man's hand.
[Shot 009]
The Large sword swings across the ground and Aegis pulls up a shield to block but is knocked back with his feet skidding across the ground.
[Shot 010]
Aegis manages to keep standing and yells out “Anavo” and his sword lights on fire and runs towards the man.
[Shot 011]
The Large sword comes down as a diagonal slash from the right which Aegis cuts cleanly through the blade (in slow motion), then lunges at the man and stabs him in the chest
[Shot 012]
Aegis stands up and looks around at the army and sees Marcus get stabbed through the back with a spear. Aegis yells out and unleashes an explosion.
[Shot 013
Aegis rests Marcus’s head on his knees as they talk.
Marcus: “Couldn't have done that sooner” *cough*
Aegis: “I'm sorry my friend”
Marcus: “It is alright, just promise me you wont die”
Aegis: “I won't, rest well in Olympus”
Marcus Dies and leaves a blood streak down Aegis Helmet, before Aegis looks up and runs into the battle once again.
The Camera Looks up into the sky as thunder rolls over.
The End
